Overview
For more than half a century, the National Organization for
Women has been raising the bar for what women and girls are able to achieve. In the past decade, NOW-NYC has united members and allies to pass over fifteen laws that advance equality for New York women. NOW-NYC helped to elect a new, blue wave of women’s rights candidates to office in 2018 by knocking on over 5,000 doors and canvassing across the northeast.
The Challenge
In the urgent activist-driven climate following the 2016 election, NOW-NYC sought to enhance their dedication to activism, women’s rights, and equality, through the engagement of an expanded network of activists. As the founding chapter of the National Organization for Women, NOW-NYC needed a revitalized branding approach that would both capture their audience’s attention while retaining their connection to the national organization.

The NOW-NYC website is visually captivating and immersive. Subtle home page animations
combined with an eye for accessibility bring an elevated digital presence to the organization. Optimized for keeping website content fresh, content entry is made easy with an enhanced content administration experience. The NOW-NYC team leverages a single back end with select shared content displaying across both the NOW-NYC and Women’s Justice NOW site experiences.
