A New Living Standard

Overview

Living Standard needed a strategic partner to give their new brand identity a strong online presence. Through a highly collaborative process, Wide Eye worked with Living Standard’s creative team to expand on their primary brand palette and existing brand assets in a way that allows for digital versatility and expansion.

The Challenge

Living Standard needed a way to impactfully convey the story of their unique mission to users as they arrive on the home page. As a brand new organization with limited content at the onset of the project, the challenge became clear. How do we create a storytelling landing page that will create intrigue and yet be scalable as the organization’s impact grows? After careful creative research and UX planning, we came up with a highly interactive concept with an almost cinematic feel that would capture users’ attention, and generate a strong list of sign ups that the organization could leverage for future initiatives.

Planning the experience

Elegant & Interactive

The Living Standard website was approached in a two-phased launch. The first phase was expedited for the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, and focused on creating an interactive home page that introduced users who land on the site to the organization’s mission. The second phase incorporated the stories of key thought leaders and expansion of information architecture into additional pages on the site.

  • HTML5 video background
  • Phased project planning
  • Advanced animations
  • Protoyped motion graphics

Beautiful, interactive narrative

In addition to a series of immersive animations our development team crafted to “unfold” content as the user scrolls the home page, Wide Eye helped Living Standard prototype an animated unveiling of the logo to showcase on the home page of the website. These interactive components helped to create an ambiance that truly tells the story of Living Standard. In order to ensure an optimized mobile site load, animations were carefully scaled back for a more seamless experience.

“Leading long and healthy lives is not a privilege. It’s a right for everyone, regardless of their circumstances. We have a lot to live up to, but it’s not without of reach. And if we’re going to claim that reality, the time is now.”
